Questions hosts ask first
Where do the competitor prices come from?
From Turo itself. Compare opens a normal, pre-filled Turo search for your make and model near your area, in your own browser, and reads the visible results. There's no scraping service and no third-party data feed; nothing about your listings goes to any server. Your rank is computed against direct competitors only (same make and model), with the wider market shown as a footnote.
Is the AI assistant just ChatGPT with a Turo skin?
No. The assistant answers only from the data on your device: your calendar scan, your floors, and the competitor prices you captured. It cites the figures it used, and if something isn't in your data it says so rather than guessing. It's opt-in per question: only the question you type and the context you choose are sent, never your password, and nothing is sold.
Is this against Turo's rules? Will it get my account flagged?
Pricing Lab works differently from the credentialed tools Turo shut down in 2023 (CarSync, Fleetwire), which logged into your account from their own servers. Pricing Lab never asks for your Turo password and has no server for its core features. It reads the pages you already have open, and when you apply changes it fills in Turo's own pricing controls exactly as if you'd typed them, then waits for your click. From Turo's side it looks like you managing your own pricing, because that's what it is. Read-locally extensions (RentScout, Raptor Explorer, Turostats) have operated openly on the Chrome Web Store for years without host penalties.
Does it help with the 2026 earnings-plan and discount changes?
Yes. It shows your true net per day after the non-refundable discount, the minimum duration discounts, and your earnings-plan share. It defends the floor you set so a soft day doesn't book below your cost, and flags when Turo moves your prices.

Where does my data live?
On your device, in Chrome's local storage: up to 250 snapshots, exportable any time with Pro. The only things that leave your browser are an opt-in AI question (with the context you chose) and checkout when you upgrade.
Which markets does it work in?
Anywhere Turo shows you a calendar, quotes, and search results in your browser. The 2026 earnings-plan share field accepts any percentage, so pilot-city and standard hosts both get accurate net math.
Do I get a receipt? Can I expense it?
Yes. Billing runs through Stripe (via ExtensionPay), so every payment emails you an itemized receipt with the date, amount, and description. Most hosts treat a pricing tool as an ordinary business expense, but how you claim it depends on your situation, so check with your tax preparer.
